Hi friends!
Hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend!
We took advantage of a three-day weekend at home to get some things done around the house before baby arrives. Which really could be any day now! So crazy and exciting at once
Anyway, Friday evening we hung around the house, relaxed and watched a movie.
Saturday I taught my last weekend class until after baby comes. I’m going to miss the Saturday class as it’s always packed and so much fun!
After, The Hubby and Love Nugget met me to run a few errands which including getting froyo.
Then home to relax and clean up before having friends over for dinner.
Barbecue quesadillas for the win!
We haven’t done these in a while and had forgotten how fun and delicious they are.
The kids had a blast playing together in our new backyard then breaking in our new fire pit by making s’mores!
I’m not a huge s’mores fan but have you ever had one on chocolate chip cookies? Our friends brought them over and I tried one for the first time. So good!
Saturday I kicked off my morning with yoga and relaxing on the back patio. Trying to soak up all the alone time I can these days
When everyone else got up we hopped on our bikes and headed downtown for breakfast at Awful Annies.
It was a little over 5 miles round trip and The Love Nugget did great so he earned those waffles I’ll admit I was feeling a little sore after the ride since my pelvic area has been killing me lately as my pelvis bone splits. Worth it though to have a fun morning with my boys.
I met my cousin for a pedi after our bike ride which was so needed. Could be the last one before baby! I feel like I’m jinxing myself by saying those things but I can’t help but hope
Naps happened in the afternoon then a relaxing evening on the couch watching a movie.
Sunday I managed to sleep in until 6:15 which is unheard of lately but much-needed. We took the dogs for a long walk then cleaned out the car, installed the car seat, got out the swing, bouncer and rest of the baby toys. Checking some things off the list! We also picked plums from our tree and they are so good! I’m hoping to put them to good use this week
It was heating up pretty quickly so we headed to the mall to keep cool and do a little shopping. Clothes for the boys and make-up for me. What else do you buy when you’re ready to pop? Another afternoon nap for me while the boys built a corn hole game.
We ended our weekend with a yummy dinner with squash from our garden!
The Love Nugget was so excited to eat the “spaceship” squash even though it wasn’t yet that big he had to have it on his kabob. Love feeding my family organic garden fresh veggies from our backyard
Now to get moving. This will be my last week of coaching at Burn-It before baby arrives. I feel like I could keep going but in case he comes early figured it would be good to have a little time off. I’m sure going to miss it though!
